Who We Are

Quaggy Morris was born in 2019. We're based in Lewisham, South East London and perform Cotswold Morris. Think high octane stick and hanky dancing.

Named after the local Quaggy river, our costume ties us to the contemporary folklore of the Lewisham Natureman - our very own Banksy. Their White Stag murals can be found all over the borough in the most unexpected places. Several along the banks of our Quaggy river popping up since the early 2010s.

Most of us have been morris dancing for just a few years, with one exception who's been a morris devotee for his entire adult life. We're a registered side with the Morris Federation.

We love dancing morris and especially sharing it with our local community at fetes, festivals and pubs. Check our events page to see us dance out!
